Ameena Al-Mutawa is a trilingual Associate with Meysan Partners.
Her practice focuses on drafting agreements, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and corporate regulations, including the Kuwait Companies Law, licensing and other regulatory streams in Kuwait.
Ms. AlMutawaa is a qualified Kuwaiti lawyer registered in the Kuwaiti Bar Association, since 2016.
Ms. AlMutawaa obtained her law degree from François Rabelais University in Tours, France.
• Acted for the Capital Markets Authority on the preparation of preferred shares regulations, sukuk regulations listing of bonds and sukuk regulations.
• The National Investments Company on the merger of 2 CMA regulated financial brokerage companies in the first ever merger under the CMA regulations issued in 2015;
• Acted for the Ministry of Finance on the public sector remuneration system reform.
• The Government of Kuwait on the $85 billion development of Madinat al-Hareer (Silk City), a 450 square kilometer city on the northern coast of Kuwait Bay with residential, leisure, commercial and industrial components, including road, rail, sea, and airport infrastructure.
• Advised the sellers in the sale of one hundred percent of the issued share capital of Ram Three SA and Boulevard Hotel Company Ltd. Ram Three SA wholly owns a subsidiary, Pearl One SA, a Moroccan liability company and which operates a hotel under the “Ramada Encore” brand in Tangiers, Kingdom of Morocco. Boulevard Hotel Company operates a five-star hotel under the “Ramada” brand in Fes, Kingdom of Morocco.
• Advised the selling shareholders Falcon Group as the exclusive legal advisor. The transaction, which sees Raptor Equity Ventures Limited investment in Falcon Group, the transaction involved the negotiation of share purchase terms, as well as the procurement of regulatory consents.
