Meysan Partners successfully acted on behalf of a senior executive in an employment dispute with one of the largest family groups in Kuwait, wherein the plaintiff was able to convince the court to re-evaluate the claim before a committee of experts, who subsequently overturned the conclusions of the initial expert and recommended that the employee gets awarded a significant component of the claimed indemnities.

The court endorsed the expert committee’s conclusion and awarded the plaintiff an amount exceeding United States Dollars 1.5 million.

Lawyer Saeed Al Ajmi led the court proceedings with support from counsel Mohamed Abdulwahed, who noted that: “this judgment emphasizes Kuwait’s employment climate regardless of if the dispute involves a large group of companies, and is a testament of Kuwaiti courts’ independence, impartiality and integrity.
