BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Hussein Al-Abdullah is a partner at Maysan and a member of the firm’s dispute resolution practice.

Dr. Abdullah is proficient in commercial, administrative, criminal, and constitutional legal issues. He is also well experienced in drafting pleadings and representing clients before the Kuwaiti courts, as well as drafting all types of legislation, whether decisions, decrees, or laws.

Dr. Al-bdullah is also a registered arbitrator with the Arbitration Centre of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Kuwaiti Bar Association and a freelance arbitrator.

Dr. Al-Abdullah also provides legal courses for many private institutions and the legal departments of various companies.

He has participated in many legal conferences inside and outside Kuwait.

Before joining Maysan, Dr. Al-Abdullah was a partner and Co-founder of Arkan Legal Consulting Company in Kuwait which merged with Meysan in 2022.

EXPERIENCE

A legal study in Al Jarida newspaper about the Human Rights Office and a comparison about the project submitted by the government and the proposed law submitted by the National Assembly and published on 3/3/2015.

A study on amending the electoral law in accordance with Law No. 27 of 2016, published on 11/10/2016.

A legal study on Communications Authority Law No. 37 of 2014 published in Al Jarida newspaper on 5/25/2014.

Published a book in 2018 entitled (Judicial Oversight of the Integrity of the Electoral Process)

In 2019, published book entitled (Electronic Advertising in Kuwaiti Law).

Participated in meetings for discussion and research on the preparatory work for issuing the Electronic Media Law No. 8 of 2016 in April 2015 and January 2016.

Reviewed the executive regulations related to the Credit Bank Law (formerly the Savings and Credit Bank). He drafted amendments to Communications Commission Law No. 37 of 2014, a large portion of which was adopted in Law No. 98 in 2015.
